Case: Search and seizure order

Location: Hong Kong

Problem: Following an employee leaving under suspicious circumstances, AXIS AFFILIATES conducted forensic searches of the former employee’s company computer. These searches recovered sufficient information to show evidence of diversion of business worth millions of dollars. The client wished to pursue this further, since they suspected further theft of intellectual property and business.

Outcome: AXIS AFFILIATES, together with the client’s legal counsel, helped draft a search and seizure order (Anton Piller order). We then participated in ensuing digital forensic investigation, the results led to the discovery of further evidence of diversion of business and intellectual property theft. The resulting legal action meant the former employee faced substantial sanctions.
